If your Sawtooth Sunflower is showing signs of water stress, you can help it by checking the soil. If the soil is still wet, you can tell because you can put your finger about an inch into the soil. Also, you can put mulch around the base of the plant. This will give the plant a little shade, which will reduce water loss through a process called "transpiration."
